Ron Cave (40th) – A Proud Father! – Dixie Dean (40th)

Ron Cave trained as a Pay Accountant with the 40th Entry at RAF Bicham Newton from 16th May 1960 to 18th December 1961. After passing out he subsequently remustered to aircrew and became a winch operator/loadmaster on a variety of helicopters including the Chinooks of 18 Sqn at RAF Gutersloh. Ron became a very proud father at the weekend to learn that his son had been knighted by the King in his Birthday Honours List.
