The Docking History Group hold a two day History Fair each May Bank Holiday which has been supported for the last few years by the RAF Bircham HC which has a display along with other historical groups etc. The display is held in the village hall.
Docking and Langham were satellite/diversion airfields for Bircham Newton during the war years.
During my apprentice training at Bircham (1960-61) I did not know my grandfather was buried in Docking Cemetery; it is an unmarked grave. However, it can be identified as it is between two marked graves.
During the two days this year over 200 people attended the fair and many showed an interest in our display and were handed a copy of our brochure together with the opening dates for 2024. Our display stand was fully staffed over the period.
