Can You Help

I have received a Find A Friend request from our Social Secretary, Bryan Hoare. This was inspired by the following message he had received from a lady called Elizabeth Thatcher, which reads as follows:

‘Hello! I wonder if you can help me trace an RAF Officer who may have begun his service life in clerical administration from 1922 in either South or West Ruislip. His name is William (Bill) Beale. He retired as a [Spitfire] Squadron Leader (admin, not flight). Still based around either Ruislip or moved to the RAF records centre Gloucester. Long shot I know but would be grateful for any help. Many thanks.’

I thought that a Notice would likely produce a better response so if anyone out there can provide any information about William Beale, would you please let me know by email administrator@rafadappassn.org
